We are making a policy of giving credit when credit is due, and this will be implemented across the board - regardless of who, or what is causing a stir for the right reasons. With that we are going to go ahead and tip our hat to FOX NEWS Sunday’s Chris Wallace for his interview with McCain campaign manager Rick Davis on his program which aired yesterday. Wallace did what so many of his coworkers on FOX simply refuse to do — break from the usual “script” of coddling anything on the “right”, while lambasting without regard anything coming from the “left”.
FOX’s Fred Barnes Agrees w/Phil Gramm: “Hypocrisy is Alive & Well”
July 12, 2008
The often dim-witted and out of touch, Fred Barnes, of FOX News was on Brit Hume’s round table yesterday and well - pretty much agreed with everything, and I mean everything, former Senator Phil Gramm said earlier this week about American’s being in a “mental recession”, and that we as a nation have become nothing but a pack of “whiners”. With McCain quickly backtracking from the statement, and the majority of the GOP running for the hills away from Gramm’s statement - the almighty Fred Barnes seems to see it for what it really is - “straight talk.”
Iran Sends Message in the Form of Test Firing: “We Will Retaliate”
July 9, 2008
TEHRAN, Iran - Iran test-fired nine missiles Wednesday, including ones capable of hitting Israel, making a dramatic show of its readiness to strike back if the United States or Israel attacks it over its nuclear program. The launches sparked strong U.S. criticism and a jump in oil prices, underlining fears Iran might seal off the Strait of Hormuz, the Gulf waterway through which 40 percent of the world’s crude passes, if military conflict does break out.
Feel Free to Add “Bloggers” to the Long List of Things McCain Hates
July 6, 2008
Oh how I love when John McCain speaks, he never fails in providing us with some humorous gaffe, comparison, or illustration of bad judgment. Here is a video clip which has McCain speaking to a group in a “town hall” type setting. I believe it took place in New Hampshire (according to the video information) but in all reality the location is meaningless here - it’s what he says that makes the video worth watching.
The Always Incompetent Ben Ferguson Gets Picked Apart by Cenk Uygun of ‘The Young Turks’
July 3, 2008
The person I detest the most in this world has re-emerged, only to be verbally dismantled by Cenk Uygur of The Young Turks. Cenk and the astronomically ignorant Ben Ferguson, appeared on CNN to debate General Wesley Clark’s comments in regards to John McCain’s war experience not automatically making him qualified to be Commander in Chief, comments which have drawn a sense of contrived outrage from everyone of the right wing blow hard AM talk radio has to offer.
Susan Rice Makes Scarborough & Gregory Look Silly: However Their Debate Raises a Bigger Issue…
June 28, 2008
Susan Rice, one of Barack Obama’s Chief Foreign Policy Advisers, was a guest on Friday mornings “Morning Joe”, and was brought in to discuss North Korea, and the general “war on terror”. What makes this clip so intriguing is that Rice manages to absolutely steam roll both Scarborough, and David Gregory (who was also involved) The “tit for tat” political debate, focused mainly on North Korea’s destruction of a long-defunct nuclear cooling tower, which took place earlier that morning morning.
“Please John McCain, Pick Bobby Jindal as Your Running Mate…”
June 26, 2008
Fresh off the news he has a certain fondness for performing your run of the mill exorcisms, Louisiana Gov. (R) Bobby Jindal gives Democrats another reason to pray McCain picks him as the GOP’s Vice Presidential nominee, while successfully making conservatives across the country (well, most of them anyways) cringe, asking themselves; “did he just say that?”
Here is good ‘ole Bobby Jindal appearing on FOX News’ “Your World w/Neil Cavuto.” With the shows host - Neil Cavuto taking a sick day, the “fill in” anchor, was treated to a interesting (to say the least) conversation with the now confirmed “wing nut” Gov. Bobby Jindal. The conversation focused on Jindal’s new brainchild turned law, which makes chemical castration the method of choice in the always innovative state of Louisiana.
Needless to say Jindal describes the new penalty with a certain affinity one could almost mistake as him literally getting “excited’ over the idea of chemical mutilation. An idea mind you that one could argue - and I don’t think they would be going “out on a limb” in doing so, that this falls into the category of a “cruel and unusual punishment.”
Anyways, enjoy the video below, and please Senator McCain, I beg you - pick Jindal to be your running mate, I mean this guy really has no downside…
Welcome to “Hack Reporting 101″: Prof. O’Reilly Will Now Begin…
June 25, 2008
Here is one of the more amusing Bill O’Reilly video clips, although I am not sure anything could top his “Inside Edition” meltdown which so many of us enjoyed watching repeatedly. However this one is pretty damn good too, mainly because it focuses on O’Reilly’s absolute inability to grasp the reality of what he’s trying to report, as well as highlight how venomously partisan he really is.
Highlighting the Hypocrisy of Clinton Supporters Now Backing McCain
June 22, 2008
This is an oldie, but definitely a goodie, and by goodie I mean political video “Hall of Fame” worthy. Take it for whatever it’s worth - I am not trying to insinuate anything besides the complete irony of the Hillary supporters who now refuse to support Barrack Obama (on the basis he beat their version of the ‘messiah’) and instead, are opting with John McCain.
Now I have no problem with those who are supporting McCain, thats their decision, and the vast majority have their legitimate reasons for doing so. Of course I would rather they support Barack Obama (as I obviously do), thats simply not how a Democracy works. That said, I do have a problem with people supporting a candidate, one who represents none of their political viewpoints.
Unfortunately that’s the case with the “lunatic fringe” of former Clinton supporters (not all of them, the vast majority of Clinton supporters, like my mom for example, are reasonable and will back Obama) who in a temper tantrum like display have vowed to back McCain come Novembers election.
Anyways, here’s the whole “irony” aspect I was speaking of, or at least one example from the laundry list I could provide. Here is the unedited - extended - footage of John McCain answering a profane question from a supporter on the campaign trail. Take a quick look, and see if you can find the irony in the “militant” wing of Clinton’s base (whom are rather extreme in their feminist views) supporting McCain:
*Video* Former White House Press Secretary Gives Explosive Testimony in Front of Congress
June 20, 2008
