Democrat Barack Obama blasted George W Bush’s decision to keep Iraq war troop levels largely unchanged, linking Republican rival John McCain to the unpopular president’s war policies as he tried to regain momentum in the presidential race.
Obama has seen his poll numbers in the race to become US president slide after McCain chose Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate. He has been on the defensive as the veteran Arizona senator seized on his rival’s central campaign theme of changing Washington and tried to make it his own. Read more
New Polls Show McCain Ahead: “No Sh*t, They Polled More Republicans”
September 9, 2008
Over the past 48 hours I have heard right wing commentator after right wing commentator, as well as just about every single news outlet in general wet their pants over the latest nationwide polling numbers which show John McCain ahead of Barack Obama. The glee in their voices, and contrived aloofness (“how can this be?”) promptly followed by over analyzing every aspect the shows time slot allows them to are both annoying and petty. Unfortunately for these so called “political experts” the polls they are clamoring over are flawed in more ways then just one.

August 25, 2008
US police have arrested four people - one allegedly a white supremacist -over a possible plot to kill Barack Obama on Thursday night during his acceptance speech in Denver.
FBI spokeswoman Kathy Wright confirmed the FBI was investigating the reports but declined to elaborate. The Joint Information Centre - a command set up by Denver, state and federal authorities to field media inquiries during the Democratic convention - said it had no immediate comment.
“Things Are Getting Interesting”: Presidential Race Nears a Virtual Tie
August 17, 2008
The 2008 Presidential contest between Senators Barack Obama and John McCain is officially, or as officially as a non scientific study can be, sitting amidst a virtual horse tie. Poll after poll shows this phenomena to be true, and one has to wonder why, with everything stacked in his favor, is Barack Obama unable to put any distance between him and his republican counterpart John McCain. We are going to look at the latest polls - both on a state by state basis, as well as a national perspective.
Study Shows Younger Crowd Prefers Online News, While Elders Stick with TV
August 17, 2008
NEW YORK - Fewer Americans are reading newspapers and are instead getting their news online, but television remains the leading source of news in the country, according to a survey released Sunday. Not surprisingly, younger people tend to get more of their news on the Internet, while older folks use traditional media such as television and newspapers, the Pew Research Center’s biannual survey on news consumption habits said.
The Best Comments From John McCain’s Website/Blog: “Classic Stuff”
August 12, 2008
Laughter does not describe what I have been through over the course of the last hour or so. Finding myself bored I decided to head over to John McCain’s website/blog and see what our friend had no clue what I was in for, “Old Man Walnuts” was up too. Seeing as though this was only my second time on his site, I had no clue what a good dose of old fashioned comedy I was in for.
Unequivocal Proof Bush & Co. Lied Their Way Into the Iraq War: Everyone Needs to Read This
August 9, 2008
It has been well documented that George W. Bush and his cronies that include VP Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Duncan Keith, Richard Pearle, and many others knowingly lied to the American public regarding why we were going to invade the sovereign nation of Iraq. Whether it be the Pentagon releasing hard documents showing that the Bush administration knowingly lied 935 times about various facets of the invasion, or whistle blowers like Scott McClellan going public with admissions of knowingly lying on behalf of the President regarding Iraq.
Edwards Revisited: Stories of Deceit, Self Interest & Campaign Disputes Resurface
August 9, 2008
Well it seems as though the flood gates have opened on good ‘ole John Edwards, and lets just say it would be in both his and his families best interest if he did his best to stay out of the public eye for a very - very long time. Since his admission to an extra marital affair, story after story of Edwards lies over the past couple of years have surfaced, or in this case, resurfaced - with the only difference being that this time people are taking them to heart.
John Edwards Admits to Affair But Denies Fathering a “Lovechild”
August 8, 2008
The John Edwards extramarital affair story has blown up faster, and larger then any news story in recent memory - and rightfully so, this tragic narrative takes the all too familiar “politician cheats on wife” scandal to the next level of shock and awe. We have put together a collection that includes initial reports, statements from both John and Elizabeth Edwards as well as video of the highly anticipated ABC interview between John Edwards and Bob Woodruff. We also have put together some information dealing with the who, what, where and why of Edwards mystery lady, Miss Rielle Hunter.
Let’s Look at Their Records: Obama & McCain’s Senate Votes
August 7, 2008
Night after night the mainstream media continue to parade McCain around as the “elder statesman” who has been around, and seen it all. While painting (both directly and indirectly) Barack Obama as the “risky choice” who has this election gift wrapped - while noting he is the only one that can lose it for himself. Within this narrative are a handful of reoccurring themes, with one of them being Obama’s short time in the U.S. Senate - subsequently making his politics “unknown.” All of this of course is a a joke which continues to show how sad the media and their reporting has come to in this day and age of “sensationalism over substance.”
