Rush Limbaugh Doesn’t Think Much of Fellow Wingnut Bill O’Reilly

This weeks New York Times Magazine front page story goes behind the scenes with infamous talk show pundit, and republican icon, Rush Limbaugh. Aside from the interview being quite interesting as a whole, I was struck by something Limbaugh said about halfway through - that well, is in my opinion the first intelligent thing the man has ever said.

Glenn Beck on the Supreme Courts ‘Gitmo’ Ruling:”I Would Just Shoot them in the Head”

June 27, 2008

Yesterday, during his radio program, CNN’s version of Bill O’Reilly, Glenn Beck successfully illustrated for us - once again - just how demented and obnoxiously archaic his train of thought really is. This is not the first time Beck has showed us his fascist stripes. Beck’s gleaming example of “pure ignorance” came during one of his infamous, “migraine inducing” rants, which apparently covered his disdain for the recent Supreme Court’s recent ruling which grants terror suspects being held as prisoners of war, the right to challenge their detention in civilian courts.

FOX’s Bill O’Reilly Summed Up “In a Minute”

June 20, 2008

The good people at 23/6.com have given us yet another comedic bit well worth watching. This time the focus is put on FOX News’ Bill O’Reilly - the host that many find obnoxious, biased, and often times not very informed on the topics he is debating.

This is how the creators explain the video, which is appropriately titled “The O’Reilly Factor in a Minute”:

“If you’re like us, you watch The O’Reilly Factor at least once a day. But sometimes, things get in the way like…watching almost anything else on television. So here’s The Factor for Tuesday June 17, condensed to one minute”

Actor John Cusack Discusses “War Inc.”, the 2008 Election & Bill O’Reilly

June 13, 2008

Actor and political activist John Cusack sat down for a chat with MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” earlier today, Cusack however made his appearance via satellite from London, where he’s currently promoting his latest film “War Inc.” The interview wasn’t all Hollywood though, Cusack also touched on his new advertisement in which he compares Senator John McCain, and his policy initiatives to that of our current president - George Bush.

The highlight however came when Cusack offered up a response to FOX News’ prime time “blow-hard”, Bill O’Reilly, who had made a claim earlier in the week that Cusack was “peddling propaganda.” Cool, calm and collect Mr. Cusack simply replied:

“If the New York Times op-ed piece is running in their lead editorial that outsourcing interrogation should be banned, and they’re coming after the private mercenaries, I don’t think we should get any ethics lessons from Mr. O’Reilly.”

Here is the clip of the interview via MSNBC:

Olbermann Surpasses O’Reilly in the Network News Ratings War

June 10, 2008

If you follow the site whatsoever then I am sure you are aware that I am really not into the whole ratings war currently being waged between the network giants (FOX, CNN, NBC). However I am quick to admit that I am no fan of FOX News, and by “no fan” I really mean - I hate the network and everything they represent. So whenever an opportunity does arise (unfortunately they are few and far between up until this point) too point out a drop in FOX News’ status, I am quick to put it out there front and center, and do so with a smile on my face.

FOX News Producers Ambush Bill Moyers - Then Get a Dose of Their Own Medicine

June 9, 2008

Uptake.org broke this little tid-bit of news and video earlier this afternoon and write that while at the National Conference for Media Reform 2008, a producer for FOX’s The O’Reilly Factor, Porter Barry, ambushed PBS’s Bill Moyers and peppered him with questions regarding his political affiliations and his “refusal” to appear on O’Reilly’s show. Moyers disputes FOX’s “facts” for the record and asks to interview someone at The O’Reilly Factor about Rupert Murdoch and the show’s coverage during the run-up to the invasion of Iraq.

The journalist crowd then reacts, chasing down Barry and intentionally giving him a dose of FOX-style bullying reportage in what makes some very entertaining video - especially if you are not the biggest fan of FOX News and their bully like antics.

Anyways, here is the video for your viewing pleasure:

Watch Bill O’Reilly Throw a Temper Tantrum During Scott McClellan Interview

June 3, 2008

Watch as FOX News’ Bill O’Reilly loses his cool during his interview with former White House Press Secretary, and current Bush Administration whistle blower, Scott McClellan. O’Reilly, a well known right wing blow hard, literally tip toe’s the line of complete “mental breakdown” as McClellan refuses to stand down amidst the verbal onslaught in the form of screaming and yelling, by FOX’s number one GOP shill - Bill O’Reilly.

The interview is incredibly entertaining, especially if you are like myself, and love the sight of Bill O’Reilly making a complete and utter fool of himself. Below you will see that I have attached the entire interview, broken down into three different sections, with each one containing a litany of hilarious O’Reilly rational, priceless band standing for Bush on the part of Bill-O, and McClellan standing up to the red faced host, refusing to admit, or concede any wrongdoing. Here they are, please take a second to watch, and I promise you that you’ll enjoy:

O’Reilly Temper Tantrum-Part 1:

O’Reilly Temper Tantrum- Part 2:

O’Reilly Temper Tantrum- Part 3:

It never ceases to amaze me just how blatantly bias Bill O’Reilly becomes when he is faced with a guest, or panel member who disagrees with him, or anything the GOP supports or stands for. He spends so much time, night after night, attempting to put on a quasi-centrist. appearance, however when someone -like Scott McClellan- comes on, and staunchly disagrees with the views or assumptions of O’Reilly, the true and sickening GOP bias emerge in all their glory.

FOX News is in trouble, not with the law or any authority type figures per se, but in terms of the American people. FOX News rode in on the coattails of the Monica Lewinsky scandal, successfully turning “Democrat smearing” into their chief selling point. For a while this worked, Bush won in ‘00 and again in ‘04, so the whole anti-Democrat persona was the “in thing.”

However with a endless war engulfing our resources, finances and most importantly, the life’s of thousands of the young men and women of our armed services, along with a economic crisis we have not seen in years, the whole pro-Right, anti-Left movement has more or less flipped the switch - leaving FOX News kicking and screaming as their viewer base dwindles away.

Watch as Bill O’Reilly Jokes About His Inside Edition ‘Meltdown’ Clip

May 14, 2008

During the tail end of his program Wednesday evening, FOX’s own Bill O’Reilly took a second to acknowledge the popularity of a video making the rounds on the internet that features him having an extended meltdown back when he was a host of Inside Edition. Trying to be a good sport (which I give him credit for, and I never usually give this guy credit) O’Reilly uses some comedy when talking about the whole situation. Video of O’Reilly joking it up earlier tonight is attached below, and I apologize beforehand for the quality:

Stephen Colbert Re-Enacts Bill O’Reilly’s “Inside Edition” Meltdown

May 14, 2008

On Tuesday night’s “Colbert Report,” Stephen Colbert had fun with Bill O’Reilly’s “Inside Edition” meltdown, showing “never-before-seen” mock footage of his own past as midday anchor at WPTS in Patterson Springs, NC. Watch as Colbert freaks out over the words written on the teleprompter in true O’Reilly fashion (and throws in a Brian Williams shout-out as well):

Vintage Video of Bill O’Reilly Throwing a Profanity Laced Temper Tantrum

May 12, 2008

It should come as no surprise that Bill O’Reilly has always been a screamer, but it’s always nice to have video proof. Below, watch a vintage meltdown from his “Inside Edition” days that has just resurfaced via College Humor — Watch as our favorite gas bag O’Reilly screams:

“f*ck it, no just f*ck it, we’ll do it live, this f*cking thing… God.”

I must say that I watched this little clip three times, yes three times in a row basically because I was laughing so hard it took me three times to be able to hear the entire temper tantrum. It also made me think to myself how much it would suck having this guy as a father. I mean can you imagine his reaction if you were caught sneaking out or came home drunk in high school, eek, not a scenario I would like to find my self in that’s for sure.
