So Much For the Whole "Maverick" Theme

John McCain has carried the persona of being “Maverick” Senator on his sleeve for quite a long time now. He proclaims that he works outside the traditional Washington machine, and fights against bitter partisan politics. Well, that label seems to be nothing more then a fleeting memory as McCain seemingly becomes one with the lowest public approval rating president in United States history, George W. Bush. Today McCain and Bush held a press conference in the White House garden, John McCain stood there while Bush filibustered the entire presser and upstaged his big moment in the sun. The Prez was more interested in cracking jokes to the press than letting McCain look like the GOP’s presidential nominee. But that didn’t seem to phase McCain who was all smiles throughout the nightmarish babble which was streaming from our incompetent presidents mouth. Here is video from todays apparent neo-conservative passing of the torch.
