Latest Democratic Polls Released: Obama Now Leading in Texas

Rasmussen has released their latest political poll numbers for the March 4th primary states of Texas and Ohio. For the first time, Rasmussen is showing Obama in the lead in the state of Texas, continuing a trend that had him steadily narrowing large earlier Clinton leads, and following other polling that gave Obama the lead days ago. Two weeks ago, Rasmussen showed Clinton leading Obama 54% to 38%, which is important to remember as the campaigns play the expectations game, which they have in each of the primaries to date. Below you will see todays numbers, which cannot be reassuring for Hillary.

Texas: 2/27. 503 likely voters. Margin of Error 4%
Clinton: 44% (46)
Obama: 48% (45)

Then their is the battle currently raging in Ohio, which too shows Obama making up a lot of ground, so much so that the once heavy lead Hillary has of 19 points just two and half weeks ago has dwindled down to 2 points today, which happens to be within the margin of error which is sitting at 3%. These are just another curve ball the Clinton camp has got to be worried about.

Ohio: 2/28. 862 likely voters. Margin of Error 3%
Clinton 47% (48)
Obama 45% (43)

Anyway you choose to look at it, the March 4th primaries are setting up to be absolute battles, with really either candidate having the ability to win one, or both of the prized delegate states of Ohio and Texas. It has pretty much become agreed upon that if Hillary cannot win both of these states, then she will more then likely drop from the primary race. Making March 4th all the more important for both and candidates, and more importantly the Democratic party in general.
