FOX’s Fred Barnes Agrees w/Phil Gramm: “Hypocrisy is Alive & Well”

The often dim-witted and out of touch, Fred Barnes, of FOX News was on Brit Hume’s round table yesterday and well - pretty much agreed with everything, and I mean everything, former Senator Phil Gramm said earlier this week about American’s being in a “mental recession”, and that we as a nation have become nothing but a pack of “whiners”. With McCain quickly backtracking from the statement, and the majority of the GOP running for the hills away from Gramm’s statement - the almighty Fred Barnes seems to see it for what it really is - “straight talk.”

The irony that can be found in Barne’s statement are both ironic, and in a sad way - humorous. They are ironic in the sense that Barnes absolutely lambasted Obama for the statements he made months back when speaking to a private group of fund raisers that some middle American’s were bitter over the government leaving them behind, thus they have since been “clinging to guns and religion.”

But when former Senator Gramm calls American’s a “bunch of whiners” over their clear economic agony, Barne’s calls it “you know, straight talk, the whole McCain thing.” Here is the video which has Barne’s not only backing Gramm’s statement, but actually cheer leading them in a way that Brit Hume can’t even agree with:

I must admit the more I watch FOX News, the more I become increasingly frusterated, some times to the point where I become nauseas and dizzy. Listen to the words these people use - it is absolutely sickening at a minimum and slanderous at the opposite end of the severity scale.

That said, I would love the insightful Fred Barnes to continue explaining his justification for championing former Senator Gramm’s statements, yet just a month or so prior - condemning Barack Obama for saying “bitter, guns, money.”
