Bill O’Reilly’s "Issue of the Week": Laura Ingraham Offers Explanation

It shouldn’t come as any sense of surprise, but Bill O’Reilly has yet another “earth shattering” issue. This time it’s with Elton John’s, silly, yet completely meaningless statements regarding misogyny in America. Naturally he needs an explanation, so who better the consult then right wing radio princess aka the “Queen of Darkness”, Laura Ingraham. One thing is for sure and that is if you have a disagreement like O’Reilly did with Elton John about the presence of sexism in the United States there is no one better then Ingraham to consult you on the issue seeing as though she’s shown such an expertise on the role men and women in this country in the past. For example, Ingraham the “sexism” expert referred former Green Bay quarterback Brett Favre as a woman”, for tearing up at his retirement announcement earlier this year.

So now that the landscape of this comically, mind numbing, back and forth between O’Reilly and Ingraham on the topic of misogyny in America is clear as day, I invite you too watch and enjoy the video below, which comes to us courtesy of Crooks & Liars:

BillO: ,do you think we’re, uh, a misogynistic society, here?
Laura: (smiling) Uh, no I don’t Bill, you know, I think men and women are different, we have different challenges, and uh, so forth.
Bill O: And you haven’t been, uh, held back because of your gender, because talk radio is dominated by idiots like me, white guys.

Well at least O’Reilly is clear on one thing, and that’s the fact he’s an idiot and that right wing radio is dominated by fellow gas bags. Other then that this little piece really is nothing more then a typical O’Reilly “propaganda” piece, where he brings someone on the show that agrees with him 100% and they talk about how right they are, and then call it a day.

So in closing I guess the debate at the root of O’Reilly’s argument remains open, although I have to admit I think it’s somewhat of a moot issue right now with everything else that’s going on in the world. However when talking about misogyny and it’s presence, or lack there of, in America who better to listen to then a talk show buffoon who just a couple years ago was forced into settling a mega-million dollar sexual harassment lawsuit which was brought forth by a former employee of his:

The Plantiff also had a gaggle audio recording and other goodies directly proving the guilt of “he-god”, Bill O’Reilly. The more I think about it the more the parallels between this debate with BillO mirror the reasoning that asking a crack head to speak about drug awareness to a group of high school students would.
