Bill O’Reilly Crosses the Line Again, Calls Arianna Huffington a Nazi

Bill O’Reilly seems to have built an empire on his ability to make deranged statements regarding public figures, more often then not, those public figures happen to have differing ideological beliefs then O’Reilly, and find themselves leaning mote towards the liberal side of the aisle. Fresh off his self constructed “scandal“, which had O’Reilly discussing a “lynching party” for Michelle Obama after she made a poorly worded statement on the campaign trail, he struck again, and this time his target was Adrianna Huffington of the Huffington Post. Yesterday O’Reilly, upset over a handful of insensitive comments about Nancy Reagan which appeared on the Huffington Post message boards, proceeded to take his frustration not on the individuals responsible for the comments but instead on the sites owner and operator Adrianna Huffington. He did so by proclaiming that Huffington was no different then the Ku Klux Klan, and the Nazis:

O’Reilly: I have no respect for the woman. I think that she is hurting the country,

O’Reilly: What’s the difference between the KKK and Arianna Huffington? What’s the difference?

Ham: I think there is a difference,.

O’Reilly: I don’t see any difference between Huffington and the Nazis. It’s her, It’s her, It’s her,I didn’t say she’s a Nazi.

Ham: Alright.

O’Reilly: There’s no difference between what the two do.

If the comparison wasn’t so vile you would almost be forced at laughing at O’Reilly’s reasoning here, I mean there is literally no comparison what-so-ever between Arianna Huffington and Nazism. A Political movement that believed in the superiority of an Aryan race, an abstraction of the Germanic peoples. The party which Hitler brought to power advocated a strong, centralized government and ultimately, sought to create a largely homogeneous and ethnic state, absorbing the ideas of while conducting one of the worlds worst if not the single worst, practice of genocide that the industrialized world has even seen. I just don’t see the connection, probably because there is none to be seen. But that doesn’t matter to blow hards like O’Reilly, who prove time and time again that their own ignorance trumps everything else including the most basic World History teachings.

It has finally reached the point where O’Reilly clearly feels as though the rules do not apply to him, and he can do and act in whatever way he feels. While I have a feeling that is going to change, and I really think it is up to the rest of the mass media to call for some sort of disciplinary action that fits the crimes of this pompous, sexual harassing, loofah loving, gas bag.
