Scarborough & Tucker Carlson Rant and Rave Over Self Contrived “Media” Love of Obama
May 9, 2008
Watch as the headache rearing combination of Joe Scarborough and Tucker “My Shows Keep Getting Canceled” Carlson throw a pity party for one another over their delusional fantasy world that liberals with the media are so in love with Barack Obama that they can’t criticize his stance against the gas tax, completely forgetting to mention that EVERY major economist, from both conservative and liberal aligned groups have declared the “gas tax holiday” as a complete joke. Yes the tax for which Obama is with them in standing against, while john McCain is all for — but hey that’s simply semitics right?
Granted these two “scholars” are rather pathetic in terms of any real political analysis, this segment just blew my mind, I mean their blind characterization couldn’t be any more irrational if they tried. Here is a segment of the show transcript courtesy of our friends at Crooks and Liars:
Tucker Carlson: It’s gonna be,It’s gonna be such a great election.
Joe Scarborough: It’s gonna be awesome. Especially when you have the media loving one candidate as much as they love Barack Obama.
TC: It’s more than love. It’s the kind of love that, anybody who’s been a ninth grade boy understands, this species of love. Do you know what I mean?
Mika Bruszinski: Wow.
JS: No, it’s true. It’s all-consuming.
TC: It’s red-in-the-face, think-about-you-when-I-go-to-bed, too-embarrassed-to-stand-up, sealed-with-a-kiss love. It’s puppy love.
MB: Wow.
JS: It really is.
MB: What are you guys talking about?
JS: No, seriously. The media’s love affair with Barack Obama is all-consuming. It is..it is,no, it really is. It is a ninth grade love affair, where if you say anything about their love interest, they get very red-faced, angry, and emotional. They can’t really think logically about it.
Now granted their are a handful of obvious Obama loyalist’s, however the exact same can be said in the case of Sen. John McCain and the media. That said for these two “experts” to conflate Obama and the media in this light simply shows once again how shallow and ill-informed Carlson and Scarborough are and how little truth they add to the public discourse revolving around the current political happenings of the day.
