Chris Matthews Scolds "Media Elite" For Not Holding Bush Accountable
April 29, 2008

Watch as MSNBC’s Chris Matthew’s takes time out of last nights episode of “Hardball” and openly scolds the “mainstream media” for their absolute failure to hold Bush accountable for all his disastrous decisions, policies, and flat out lies throughout his two term tenure in power. Matthew’s specifically targeted those members of the media who attended last nights White House Correspondents’ Dinner which looked more like a MTV Music Awards after party then an official White House event. This is interesting for a couple different reasons, mainly because Matthew’s has been known to take part in these “face time” events centered around the current president. Never the less, his point is valid and is worth listening too and really thinking about:
,It’s one thing to gather for events like this in Washington, it’s another one to laugh and applaud – to be charmed when the president puts on a little show. It’s harmless stuff, except that the people yucking it up in that scene are the people who are professionally committed to calling it when the people in power get it wrong.”
