Clinton Backer Geraldine Ferraro Continues Her Race Baiting

It seems as though Geraldine Ferraro isn’t quite finished putting her high heeled foot in her mouth. Throughout the Tuesday news cycle, Ferraro managed to fuel the fire she herself initially lit. In a second interview with the same newspaper which printed her controversial statements which started this whole squabble, and then on a FOX News Channel segment (Ferraro is a FOX News Channel contributor) the former vice presidential candidate seemingly began the first phase of a psychotic breakdown, or at least thats how it appears to me. Her tone was simple, and easy to pick up on: It is that the Obama camp has played the race card to their advantage.

“Any time anybody does anything that in any way pulls this campaign down and says let’s address reality and the problems we’re facing in this world, you’re accused of being racist, so you have to shut up,” Ferraro said. “Racism works in two different directions. I really think they’re attacking me because I’m white. How’s that?”

She cannot be serious, can she? Was it Barack who has repeatedly gone on stage and used his middle name? Nope, it was Bob Kerrey, a Clinton surrogate. Was it the Barack Obama camp that compared Obama to Jesse Jackson? Nope, this gem came from Bill Clinton. Was it Barack Obama that sent mass emails claiming he was secretly a radical Muslim? Nope, Clinton campaign again. Surely it was Barack Obama attempting to play the race card when he released the photograph of himself in Muslin garb to the Drudge Report, wasn’t it? Nada –sorry– this too was straight from the Clinton camp. So if all these instances of race, which realistically have been the only time race has been brought up during this election, were spurred on from the Clinton wing.

In fact it’s a bit absurd to define him in racial and gender stereotypes from a bygone era. People like Ferraro just don’t get that most Obama supporters are past skin color and gender issues, looking at his qualifications. Obama supporters would be happy to vote for a woman, including a white woman or any color women whose message they believed in. That women simply isn’t Hillary. America’s greatest leaders have always brought people together and transcended the prejudices of their era, and clearly after this primary cycle, Clinton is not that caliber of person.

Ferraro and her statements are simply an extension of the very thing Barack Obama is talking about when he references “old style politics“. People are sick of it, and Clinton, Kerrey, Ferraro, and everyone else running around in that staff of hers represent why the movement behind Obama has been monumental in size. Their time is passed, their tactics are tired, and Democrats are sending the message loud and clear, “we don’t want you involved anymore, thanks for everything, but we are ready to move on.” Here is the disturbing video of Ferraro going on her racist, and downright confusing rant.
