Barack Obama Wins the Mississippi Primary In Landslide Fashion

March 12, 2008

MSNBC has projected Senator Barack Obama the winner of the Mississippi primary. Obama’s 93,000-vote advantage almost negates Clinton’s 101,000-vote advantage in Texas. This is especially impressive due to the fact Mississippi is about a quarter of the size of the lone star state.

Obama, Barack 245,788 60% 20
Clinton, Hillary 152,403 38% 11
TOTAL VOTES 398,191
Also take a look at these interesting tidbits coming out of the Mississippi exit polls, courtesy of CNN. Look at the startling percentage of Hillary Clinton voters who are dissatisfied with the idea of an eventual Clinton nomination, it really is quite bizarre. A grand total of 15% of those voters who said they pulled the lever for Hillary Clinton say they will be “unsatisfied” if she gets the nomination. In contrast, only 4% of Obama voters said the same about their candidate. Can you say sympathy vote?
