George Galloway in Depth. Requested by multiple readers.
November 30, 2007

Upon request I am going to go ahead and go into detail on Mr. George Galloway, I will touch on his following in U.K., past political situations both good and bad, and how he is viewed globally.
George Galloway has been an active member of Parliament since 1987, and up until October of 2003 was a member of the Labour Party. Due to multiple incidents, including verbal exchanges between members of his party, Tony Blair, and the Press regarding the Iraq Invasion Galloway was seemingly booted from the Labour Party. However this did not stop him, in January of 2004 he announced he would work hand in hand with the English Socialist Alliance under a new party name , Respect-The Unity Coalition, but in the 2004 Parliamentary elections Galloway, running as the Respect Party candidate came up short. After moving districts Galloway won back a seat by a mere 820 votes.
Galloway’s activity in Parliament fell to its lowest levels in 2003 after being suspended and ultimately expelled from the Labour party, and even today Galloway has kept a low profile, drawing very little attention to himself in Parliament happenings.
A fiery leftist, Galloway is known for his stance that many call anti-Israeli, for he has openly criticized them for years. Other traits that have been pinned on him are his fondness for Syria, Lebanon and other Muslim countries many of which are deemed “terrorist havens” by both his country and America alike. Through all this Galloway holds a surprisingly high approval rating in his elected district, and much like the division here in the U.S., views of him are split throughout the rest of the United Kingdom.
Like him or not it seems like “Gorgeous” George Galloway is going to tell you how he feels and if you don’t agree either get out of the way or prepare to battle. If you get a minute and feel like watching two sharp and witty men debate go over to you tube and search for Galloway and Hitchens. Christopher Hichen’s now a U.S. citizen and self proclaimed right winger has gained quite a bit of fame in this country over the past year due to the release of his book God Is Not Great. If you couldn’t tell by the title he is a devout atheist (side note: A right wing Atheist? I honestly think Hitchens is the first to carry this mantra in the history of the Republican Party here in the U.S.A.) Anyways the debate is exceptionally interesting and really lets you know where the left and right stand in the United Kingdom.
So there is a little background on my number two political hero, I will continue writing about Galloway, and what he has been up to from time to time in the future so check back often.
Starting Study Shows Homeschooling is on the rise.
November 30, 2007

The National Center for Educational Statistics released some scary numbers recently showing a increasing rate in children whose parents are opting to home school them. Some of the figures that stood out to me:
- An estimated 1,096,000 children were home schooled in 2003, a 29% increase from the 850,000 children being home schooled in 1999.
- 31% of parents opting to home school their children listed safety, drugs, or negative peer pressure as the most important reason for home schooling.
- 30% of parents said they are choosing home schooling to provide moral or religious instruction.
- Only 16% of parents said there decision was due to dissatisfaction with the academic instruction available at other schools.
I am not sure if it is just me or the feeling is shared by others but this can not be a good thing. Growing up and going through school is a vital part of the socialization process in my opinion and to have this many children missing out on that, combined with an growing disconnect due to the Internet, cell phones, video games, etc, is setting these youngsters up for failure. Where will they develop their basic people skills? Where will they learn the simple things such as sharing, problem solving, team work and every other little thing one encounters throughout the process faced in a regular school setting.
I understand religious and moral values are incredibly important to many parents, and that is perfectly fine. Send them to Sunday school, get them involved with church programs and other “religious teaching tool” outlets but do not take away their youth and right grow into young adulthood side by side with their peers. Maybe I am making a bigger deal out of this then it really is, but I do not think I am and hopefully this trend does not get any more out of control then it all ready is.
George "Motherf’ing" Galloway
November 30, 2007
Forgive me for re hashing “past” events, however I cannot help but bring this chain of events up. When Minnesota Republican Norm Coleman requested Scottish Politician and Parliament member George Galloway come in front of the Committee of Foreign Relations to answer questions, rather, accusations of whether or not he personally profited from abuses surrounding the UN Oil-for-Food Program he couldn’t have seen what he had gotten himself into. Galloway, known for his vigorous campaign to overturn economic sanctions against Saddam Hussein’s Iraq in the 1990s and early 2000s and to avert the invasion led by the United States in 2003, proceeded to make Coleman and other committee members including Michigan Democrat Carl Levin look down right silly. After a supreme showing on Capitol Hill, Mr. Galloway proceeded to make his rounds by visiting numerous Americans news programs including “The O’Reilly Factor” where the fireworks continued.
After all the dust had cleared and George Galloway returned home to the U.K. many in America were left puzzled, scratching their heads and asking “why aren’t our guys like that?”. Galloway’s showing had me in awe, and I had found a new hero overnight. One question that still riddles me though is what had many Americans pondering; “why don’t our guys take on the administration like he did?” I mean, Galloway simply destroyed his accusers and made them look like the fools that they are. O’Reilly tried his usual cut off, and bully the guest routine on Galloway but for once, it did not work, it did not work at all.
My CRUSADE against Ben Ferguson
November 29, 2007

For those of you not familiar with Ben Ferguson let me give you a little background on this budding neo-con. Ben Ferguson is a 26 year old Mississippian who graduated from the good ‘ole University of Mississippi. Moreover Ben loves his conservative roots and is a avid member of the Students for Saving Social Security, a group that promotes President Bush’s plans to reform social security, also littering Mr. Ferguson’s resume are appearances on MSNBC‚Äôs Scarborough Country, Fox News‚Äô O‚ÄôReilly Factor, Dayside with Linda Vester, Studio B with Shepard Smith, Your World with Neil Cavuto and the Fox Report, among others (obviously loves his Fox News). But wait there is more, Ferguson also hosts a local talk radio program which airs throughout the Memphis, TN area. He also authored Its My America To: A Leading Young Conservative Shares His Views on Politics and Other Matters of Importance, which unfortunately for me, I read. He lists Rush Limbaugh as one of his idols and has appeared side by side with our favorite pill popper on more then one occasion where the two spent hours spewing hatred and lies about multiple issues ranging from the Clinton’s to how proud Ben was to be a virgin. To get a better idea of what this Ben Ferguson character is all about I have taken the liberty of listing some of my personal favorite “Ferguson Quotes”:
“I look at things as being right or wrong. I’m a conservative, but when [President] Bush gave all the rights to illegal aliens, I blew a gasket. The whole point is that they’re called `illegal.’ They shouldn’t have rights like [the ability] to get a driver’s license.”
“I don’t have to worry about making friends in the business. All the people I could suck up to now won’t be around if I need them.”
“I’m proud I’m a virgin. I’m glad I’m a virgin. I don’t even mind talking about it. So maybe you wonder: Why am I a virgin? It’s actually very simple. I am a virgin because I choose to wait until I get married.”
“I am a proud product of home schooling.” (Ha ha, have to say I saw that coming)
Ben Ferguson is extremely Pro War and strong in his stance against a women’s right to choice, and coming from from a guy with plentiful experience with the opposite sex (see above quotes) he must be a expert. Ben does not like “Gays”, or “Lefties” but he loves prayer and family. Folks, Ben Ferguson is a moron, a talking head who is only a couple years older then myself in age and many years behind in knowledge. He preaches hate, war, race baits like no other, or should I say like Rush Limbaugh, his hero.
Straight from the Alma Mater of (R) Trent Lott, Ben Ferguson is carrying on the tradition of chicken-hawk rhetoric, and cultural division through terms such as “family values”, “morals”, “Christianity” and every other one word slogan the right wing has managed to hijack over the past 10 years. So I have decided to embark on a little side project, that being since me and Benny are close enough in age, I am going to go ahead and do all in my power to inform all who will listen just what a cancer to our society this punk is. He dubs himself “The Voice of America’s youth”, well Ben I got news for ya, America’s youth does have a voice however it most certainly is not you.
Check back frequently for your up to the minute Crusade Against Ben Ferguson campaign, and for know enjoy the video below which features our pal Ben getting demolished by Air America’s Randi Rhodes.

Here’s an Idea
November 29, 2007

Over the past few weeks as the presidential race for party nomination heats up, a lot of questions have been brought to light in both the news and everyday conversation. From immigration reform to the War in Iraq, people are talking and taking sides with one candidate and/or their ideology. Watching this take place has given me the chance to see something I did not realize was there, and it is troubling. I am talking about how we Americans go about “problems” and “problem solving”. It seems to me that both candidate and citizen a like, encounter a problem and are to quick to look for an answer rather then first, looking and analyzing what in fact the problem really is.
Anyone with a formal education knows that in order to solve a problem, whether it be business, social, or political you have to know the specifics of the said problem, what factors are contributing, causing, etc. to whatever it is that’s wrong. If you do not have a firm grasp on these then you will be hard pressed in coming up with a solution, or answer which will be able to address the problem at hand.
Let us look at the War in Iraq as an example. You have Republicans preaching “we must stay”, “leaving would hand power to the terrorists we are trying to fight.”, and so on. And on the left you hear a lot of, “get out now”, “we are stuck in a quagmire”, “we are creating more enemies then eliminating”, etc, etc. OK, so we have established who stands where on the problem of what to do in Iraq, but other then the slogans, and campaign pitches, some of which I have listed above, there has been little discussion looking at the real situation, and the many factors surrounding it. I mean, why should we stay, what about the situation should lead me to support us staying in Iraq? And on the flip side, why should we leave? What would we gain from picking up and leaving right now? I understand the arguments that we were lead to this war by lies and twisted intelligence reports, but that does not change the situation we are in now, and now is what I am concerned with and all that anyone should be concerned with in my opinion for none of us can go back in time and fix the errors that were made in the past. And by no means am I going to let the right off the hook either, we are there I know this, everyone knows this, we watch the news. But regardless of what “might” happen down the road, what about this conflict makes it worth staying. What will we gain from this? When will we know or claim victory (for a second time, Bush all ready claimed this once.) Will it be a victory when they have a functioning democracy? Look at what happened in Palestine, we pushed and pushed for democracy there and what did we get? Hamas, elected by the people and for the people, an obvious set back for stability in the middle east in the eyes of many. So what will our extended presence in Iraq do to better the United States in the long run? And please do not answer “to win the war on terror”, there have been radical groups who utilized “terror” for the past thousand years and there will be for the next thousand.
I want to be very clear on the fact that I wrote this not trying to push either a liberal or conservative stance on any issue, the Iraq war was an example I chose to illustrate my argument not voice my opinion. I wrote this because I think that one of our countries biggest problem is how hasty we are to look for solutions while not taking the time to understand the problem, and that is a dangerous and polarizing way to go about problem solving. Our media and politicians really should spend a little more time opening the dialogue surrounding the problems we are facing and helping us understand every angle of them rather then force feeding us there solutions which bear no real answer.
Huckabee has some explaining to do.
November 27, 2007
“Nice Guy” (R) Mike Huckabee is going to have a lot of explaining to do as the coverage of his presidential run heightens. It turns out that Huckabee just might not be the southern gentleman he tries so adamantly to portray. This clip shows just a faction of the former preachers mishaps as governor, and his answers are both entertaining and painfully dodging the questions.
Hulk Hogan suprised to hear about his Divorce.
November 25, 2007
CLEARWATER, Fla. (AP) Linda Hogan has filed for divorce from her wrestler husband Hulk Hogan, a newspaper reported Friday.
Hulk Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, told the St. Petersburg Times that he had no idea his wife had filed for divorce. He was informed by a reporter that Pinellas County court records showed that the paperwork was submitted Tuesday.
“Thank you for the great information,” he told the reporter.
Family spokesman Adam Handelsman referred calls to another spokesman, who did not immediately respond Friday night.
“My wife has been in California for about three weeks. … Holy smokes,” Bollea later told the newspaper. “Wow, you just knocked the bottom out of me.”
U.S. commander (retired) speaks out for Democrats
November 25, 2007

The general who led U.S. forces in Iraq after the invasion launched by Republican President George W. Bush spoke out for Democrats on Saturday, backing legislation aimed at withdrawing American troops.
Retired Lt. Gen. Ricardo Sanchez, in the Democratic weekly radio address, acknowledged that Bush’s escalation strategy this year had improved security in Iraq. But he said Iraqi political leaders had failed to make “hard choices necessary to bring peace to their country.”
“There is no evidence that the Iraqis will choose to do so in the near future or that we have an ability to force that result,” said Sanchez, an increasingly vocal critic of what he called Bush administration policy failures in Iraq.
He endorsed the latest attempt by Democrats in the House of Representatives to use Iraq-war funding legislation to push for a reduction of U.S. troops. The House passed a measure last week that would have set a goal of withdrawing all U.S. combat troops from Iraq by December 15, 2008, but Republicans in the Senate blocked it.
The Pentagon said Iraq strategy should be guided by current commanders there. Spokesman Bryan Whitman, asked about Sanchez’s remarks, said, “I think our military commanders that are on the ground in Iraq today are in the best position to make recommendations to the nation’s leadership about the progress that’s being made and the best strategy to embark upon.”
Well it looks like the Bush cronies have another “voice” to shut up, or at least try. It seems to me that sooner then later the president will have no choice but to acknowledge these experts and their stance on Iraq. He (the president) has already lost the will of the American people, that went a long time ago, and is on his way to losing the will of the military. It is only a matter of time before this war will come to an end, and when history looks back and time has taken its course, George W. Bush will be exposed as the complete and utter failure that many of us all ready see him to be today. Thanks to Reuters for this information.
